Fay Zenoff – MBA, Executive Director
Fay Zenoff is the driving spirit behind the emergence of the Center for Open Recovery (COR). Hired as the Executive Director for The National Council on Alcoholism and other Drug Addictions, Bay Area in 2014, she led the evolution of the organization to become COR.
Open about her own recovery from alcoholism and an active as a recovery advocate, Fay’s work, views, and personal experiences have been the subject of articles and interviews in the New York Times, Bloomberg Business Week, The California Report, KQED’s Perspectives, Lauren Schiller’s Inflection Point, The Fix, Facing Addiction’s docu-series Out of the Shadows / Addiction Across America, Marin Magazine and others.
Her message is clear: Take pride in your recovery and let others know about your healing and wellness!
She has been a speaker for private and public organizations, and an interviewed guest on local and nationally syndicated radio shows and podcasts.
Fay is the 2016 recipient of Constellation Behavioral Health’s Courage Award for her work in the addiction and mental health fields.
Prior to joining COR, Fay developed a management career in both the private and public sectors. She has worked in financial services, technology, consumer products, and education, with such Bay Area organizations as Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Goodwill Industries, Select Quote, GAP, and Brandeis Hillel Day School.
Fay earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College.
Fay was born in New York City, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now calls Marin Country, home. She has two daughters, a dog named Nilla and loves to hike, bike, xc-ski and spend time on the Bay.
